After completing a master’s degree in art history, Nicole began her career as a fine arts editor at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she worked for seven years. She met Richard at a cocktail party in 2002, when Avery Galleries was a relative newcomer to the American art market. Later that year, she formally joined Avery and has worked closely with Richard to develop the gallery’s reputation and cultivate lasting relationships with private clients and public institutions. Nicole's training as art historian informs her many contributions to Avery Galleries, including art historical and market research, organizing historical exhibitions and helping clients understand the broader cultural context and importance of a work of art. She has helped Avery’s clients build collections that not only speak to their particular interests in American art, but also tell their individual stories.
