We are very excited to announce our fourth annual 5 to Watch exhibition, which will run from March 17th though April 15th, 2016. This show highlights the work of five exceptional graduates from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and puts their work in dialogue with Avery Galleries’ distinguished collection of historic American art. This year’s exhibition features the work of Mariel Capanna, Nicole Michaud, Charles Newman, Madeline Peckenpaugh, and Jenn Warpole. Although these remarkable artists represent a diverse range of styles and subjects, there is an overall continuity in the quality and thoughtfulness behind their work. Please join us for the opening reception on March 17th, from 6 to 9pm. In addition, we will once again host an artists’ talk, which will take place before the opening, from 5 to 6pm. This informative event provides a wonderful opportunity to hear the artists’ speak about their work and to engage directly with them in conversation.
