John Dull

1859: Born in Philadelphia; 1885-91: Worked as an architect for Wilson Brothers & Company; 1893: Launched his own architecture firm; 1890s: Started painting scenes of the Delaware River; 1930s: Taught painting at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Industrial Arts; 1903: Received the Plastic Club Medal; 1905: Received the Philadelphia Sketch Club Medal; 1934: Won the Dana Gold Medal from the Pennsylvania Academy Watercolor Exhibition; 1941: Won the O. J. McCarthy Prize; 1947: Won the Miniature Society Landscape Prize; 1949: Died in Philadelphia.
