Floral Still Life

Maurer devoted a good deal of time to painting flower studies infused with a marked degree of spontaneity. These florals were executed in a variety of media, and Maurer used this body of work as an opportunity to experiment with different techniques. This vibrant still life is an exuberant display of Maurer’s incredible color sense as well as his ability to capture the beauty and joy found in the natural world.
