Why We Love It

Although Enneking experimented with a variety of different styles throughout his career, he was best known for his Tonalist forest scenes at twilight. In this work, Enneking captures the dark and mysterious quality of evening: the sky is suffused with the last golden rays of sunset while the trees below and already submerged in darkness.

The Value

This twilight painting by Enneking is a fine opportunity for a new collector who is interested in Tonalism.
